I don't know why I keep receiving emails about reviewing this vest since I pretty much wrote one after I received it. Cheaply made, cheap material and for the price, not worth it. My daughter's junior vest was made so much better and the quality outstanding. I had to purchase this vest, I had no choice. Disappointed.

The new material on the vests is thin and cheap and can’t hold the amount of patches and pins that girls acquire over seven years.

My kiddo bridged from Junior to Cadette and I had to purchase this vest. WOW, super expensive for the quality of the material. It is so thin, it's almost see through. Not even close to the quality of the green vest for juniors. I am very disappointed of how expensive the vest is. Unfortunately, I had to purchase it. I would recommend not purchasing the vest but you have to when the girls bridge. Girl Scouts should really take a look at this very cheap product they are selling.

We paid to have all the GS uniform patches added (ie - Troop number, American flag). They were just ironed on, not sewn. The first time I washed and dried the new uniform, they all fell off. Do the Girl Scouts think these should never be washed? It was a waste of money. The Boy Scouts sews theirs on; so that is what I was expecting.

The new fabric, while commendable, is horrible. I have issues with ironing on patches--leave iron on too long, and a lovely burn mark shows up. The same amount of time it took on the old vest is too long for the new fabric, so I usually end up heating the badge a little with the iron, check for stick, heat on the badge, check for stick, etc. Some badges/patches that initially stayed on the vest fall off later. I find old vests via other means before buying these new ones--buying these vests is an absolute last solution.

With all of the reviews, I was concerned about size and the content of the vest. Both were fine.

New vest sizes don't match with old vest sizes. My daughter wanted a large because she felt her medium was feeling a little snug. The new large is SMALLER than her old medium.
